We are looking for a Taste Room Technician to join our small and busy team in Andover. The Taste Room team are part of our Commodities department who facilitate the Group’s global purchasing of raw material requirements, blend compilations, raw material analysis, data entry and quality control for our products.

About the Role
This opportunity has arisen on a contract basis to cover a period of leave. This is a varied and busy role is responsible for preparing samples of tea, herbs, fruits, flavours and coffee for organoleptic and technical assessment by the Tea, Herb and Flavour Buyers/Blenders.
A typical day will involve sorting raw materials and completing quality checks using specialised equipment, creation and production of all relevant forms, paperwork and labels for the samples.  You will be preparing raw materials for tasting and ensuring that high hygiene standards are maintained throughout the department.
The nature of this role means you will be actively moving around the office for the majority of the day. 
This role involves regular communication with stakeholders across the business and use of IT systems to ensure data is recorded promptly and correctly. 
About You
You will be a willing team contributor with strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.  You will be able to learn new skills quickly and work on your own initiative to prioritise tasks whilst maintaining a flexible and collaborative approach to the overall workload. You will be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and show a willingness to learn and embrace new skills to further enhance your own development and that of the team.
